David Meloni started to practice Iyengar yoga in 1996 in Firenze. Since 2003 he has been regularly visiting Pune, where he studied directly under the guidance of B. K. S. Iyengar and his daughter Geeta, who awarded him with the highest certification (Advanced Senior II in the original system, currently Level 4). He is continuing his education under the guidance of Guruji’s son Prashant.
David Meloni teaches in his studio in Firenze IYENGAR® YOGA Rahasya Center. Before the pandemic started he travelled and taught around the world on workshops and teacher trainings, currently, he is teaching mainly online. We are all the more looking forward to welcoming him to the Czech Republic in person.
In the Czech Republic, David has multiple students, as he taught (and co- taught , together with Gabriella Giubilaro) two three years long teacher trainings here. He is guiding his students with great didactical precision and is able to provide a clean, fluent and logical approach to any asana. His classes are playful and deep at the same time. During the classes, he is incorporates his extensive knowledge of the Indian philosophy and Sanskrit.
