Gabriella Giubilaro

Gabriella Giubilaro began practicing Iyengar Yoga in 1973 with Dona Holleman. After completing her studies in physics at the University of Florence, Gabriella decided to dedicate her life to yoga in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar. Each year, she continues her study with the Iyengar family at the institute in Pune. She regularly teaches at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Firenze and conducts workshops in Europe, Japan, and the United States. She has been involved for many years in teacher training and the organization of teacher certification exams. In Italy, she also played a significant role in translating and publishing Iyengar’s texts.

Gabriella Giubilaro is known for her dynamic teaching of Iyengar Yoga, her attention to individual needs, and the clarity of her instructions. She strives to convey the essence of yoga by helping her students discover the intelligence of their bodies through clear guidance, enabling them to reach their maximum potential.

Gabriella has been visiting the Czech Republic since 1995, when she introduced Iyengar Yoga to many Czech teachers at a meeting in Prague. Since then, she has regularly visited Pilsen and, in recent years, Brno, where she also led one of the three-year courses for future teachers. In addition to asana practice, she is deeply engaged in yoga philosophy and the study of Sanskrit.
